Bat Researcher

We are looking for a bat researcher who feels he/she is an exceptional project manager when it comes to bat surveys (acoustical and mistnet) as well as other threatened and endangered species projects.
You will excel in this position if you are able to provide strategic task management, have excellent writing and grammatical skills, thrive in challenging environments, are willing to travel for extended periods of time, and are passionate about conducting/managing bat surveys (acoustical and mistnet) and radio telemetry projects. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate all skills necessary to successfully market to prospective clients while also building and maintaining positive professional relationships.
Other requirements include:
• A federal collecting permit, authorizing work with Indiana bats or the ability to demonstrate through references and past experiences that you can obtain one.
• Ability to manage and conduct radio telemetry projects
• ANAbat experience
• Enthusiasm, integrity, and health to perform field work throughout the night in potentially uncomfortable settings. (Darkness, weather, etc.)
• A working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations for compliance and permitting.
• Excellent computer skills
• M.S. Degree preferred
